Twin Cities Squadron Parent Association
Welcome to the TCS Parent Association (TCSPA)
The TCSPA is a committee of parents and guardians working alongside the Commanding Officer to support our squadron. We coordinate activities such as squadron lunches, the annual ball and silent auction, spaghetti dinner fundraisers, and more.
Our squadron relies on parent volunteers, and we appreciate any involvement you can offer. Keep an eye out for emails with event details and opportunities to sign up as a volunteer. We look forward to having you join our great team of parent supporters!
Safety Is Our Top Priority
All volunteers must complete a background check before becoming part of our officer corps. Cadets are under adult supervision during all training events to ensure a safe and structured environment.
How Can I Help My Cadet Succeed?
Successful cadets thrive with the full support of their parents or guardians. Here’s how you can help:
- Ensure your cadet arrives on time and is picked up promptly from drill and other events.
- Help them stay organized by maintaining their 3-ring binder for awards, coursework, and important documents.
- Provide necessary gear and supplies for training.
- Encourage them to follow their chain of command and take initiative in their learning and advancement.
- Stay engaged—ask about upcoming drills, coursework, and their goals for training.
- Get involved! Whether by volunteering with the Parent Association or serving as an officer or instructor, your support strengthens our program.
As a nonprofit organization, we rely on parents to help support our dedicated volunteer officers and instructors. Parents are responsible for transporting their cadets to and from all unit activities and summer training. In some cases, our Parent Association may assist with carpooling for off-site events.
For more information on how you can get involved, please contact LTJG Shawn Wilson, Commanding Officer.
